Politics

As a lawyer, you shouldn't be surprised that I am interested in politics. I have been active in political organizations for over 20 years, first joining the York University Progressive Conservative organization in 1984 and then the York University Liberal Association ("YULA") in 1985. I was a member of the YULA executive for 6 years and helped start the Yorkview Young Liberal Association in the north part of Toronto. I returned to the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada in 1994. In 2001, I was involved in drafting a statement of 21 principles that helped kick-start the merger process between the federal Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and the Canadian Alliance.

In 2004, I rejoined the federal Liberal Party where I am currently on the executive of a local riding association.

In October 2006 I co-founded The Toronto Party with Mr. Brian Roussie.

This party is the first civic party in Toronto.

The intent of this party is to run a Mayoral candidate and 44 council candidates in the 2010 Toronto election.

I am excited about the opportunity that this party will provide to the residents of Toronto. You can access The Toronto Party at www.thetorontoparty.com.

Sport Interests

Although I am not a "scratch" golfer, I enjoy playing the game.

I am also a very strong support of the Canadian Football League and my hometown Toronto Argonauts.
